Naive country gal Shirlee Kenyon comes to the big city seeking employment and accidentally lands a job as the host of a popular radio talk show. Overnight, the lovable hayseed is transformed into Doctor Shirlee Kenyon, a self-help guru with a huge following. But Shirley's phenomenal success is threatened when a tough Chicago reporter starts nosing around for the real story behind her sudden rise to fame.
