Singer/songwriter/keyboardist/guitarist Billy Swan worked many different jobs in the music business (he was even an engineer's assistant and a roadie) before he hit the top of the pop charts in 1974 with the quasi-rockabilly "I Can Help". Swan artfully combined country, soul, and pop as he continued recording as a solo act (he later founded the band Black Tie) - his best work is collected here.
