A theatrical producer sacrifices his own career to boost the fortunes of a gifted young performer in this musical gem from 1938. Lena Horne makes her feature film debut as Ethel Andrews, the aspiring singer, and belts out such tunes as I Know You Remember and Dont Let Our Love Song Turn Into A Blues.
