Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 4/5 --
Rian Johnson's last movie was something called The Last Jedi, a trifle of a film which made little impact at the box office and generated no online reaction whatsoever.

Houston Press
Johnson's screenplay in many ways is the star here, with its well-oiled plot mechanics and guileful twists and turns, constantly pulling the rug out from under the audience as much as the characters.
Hollywood Reporter
Writer-director Rian Johnson plays fair by the mystery and by us; he’d have made a great director for Hollywood’s Golden Age but thankfully we’ve got him instead.
Boston Globe
Rating: 3/5 --
Everything is familiar yet everything is amusing in Rian Johnson's composed puzzle.

Always Good Movies
Twists abound in KNIVES OUT, but by far the most unexpected is Johnson’s decision to treat this brain teaser as a comedy.
Variety
In KNIVES OUT, some truths reveal themselves faster than others and much faster than expected, and that’s part of the film’s knotty, head-spinning charm.
A.V. Club
Rating: 4/5 --
Rian Johnson kept the mood of the movie rather light and seemingly frivolous. But don't let that fool you, it's suspenseful when it needs to be and so delightfully entertaining. That last shot is one of the best cinematic final scenes ever!
