Even performances, which could have provided spark, are wooden at best, unbelievable at worst. Full Review
Film Journal International

Rating: 1.5/4 -- The characters in this movie don't talk like real people; they all talk like overly clever screenwriters. Full Review
Aisle Seat

Rating: 2.5/4 -- Embry and first-time actress Sparks have charming chemistry, but Christopher's slight screenplay wears out its welcome long before the film -- which runs a scant 80 minutes -- is over.
TV Guide
Jan 20, 2006
Rating: 1.5/4 -- If Pizza were an actual pizza, it would be half-pineapple, half-broccoli. At times, this coming-of-age comedy is quirkily saccharine, at others good-for-you sophistic. Full Review

Forget 30-minute delivery -- this brand of indie quirkiness congealed in the late '90s.
Village Voice
Jan 17, 2006
Rating: 3/4 -- It's Sparks (television's Complete Savages) and Embry (Can't Hardly Wait) who carry this dual coming-of-age tale with engaging, if often raw, performances.
Seattle Times

Rating: 3/5 -- Pizza will never be the Lou Malnati's deep dish of the independent film world, but its gentle pacing...makes this gem as comforting as mall pizza on a hungry day. Full Review

Product Description:

Ethan Embry (SWEET HOME ALABAMA) stars in this indie comedy about two small town residents who may have more in common than they think. Quirky Cara-Ethyl (newcomer Kylie Sparks) is celebrating her 18th birthday all by herself--unless you count her mother and Cara-Ethyl's cast of voices as guests. The self-proclaimed "pizza king" Matt (Embry) stops by her house with a delivery, but he ends up leaving with more than a tip. Now in his 30s, Matt is miles away from his high school popularity, and he can now identify with Cara-Ethyl's outsider status. So the unlikely pair begins a night of pizza deliveries, but there's more on the menu than just a slice of pepperoni. Judah Friedlander (30 ROCK) and Julie Hagerty (AIRPLANE!) costar.
