Green ("Baby Face" ). Moore is delightful as the lowly Ella, a household drudge who sees an opportunity to escape her miserable life when she wins a beauty contest and is promised an acting job in Hollywood. Thanks to her knack for physical comedy"perhaps an early inspiration for Betty Hutton or Lucille Ball"Moore charms and amuses throughout this riotous film, also featuring her most popular co-star, Lloyd Hughes.
