This silent melodrama about Mormonism is set during the early years of Salt Lake City. Frontiersman John Hogue (Hobart Bosworth), his wife Nancy (Edythe Chapman) and his daughter Dora (Mae Murray) are rescued from an Indian attack by the brave men of Salt Lake City. Afterward with his cabin and possession burned John has no other choice but to relocate his family to Salt Lake to start anew. In time Hogue has become a prominent citizen meanwhile his young and vibrant daughter has grown into a fetching woman desired both by friendly Tom Rigdon (Frank Borzage) and elder Darius Burr (Noah Beery). Burr guides the Temple elders in pressuring Hogue all so that he might realize his desire to possess young Dora! 62 minutes with a music score by David Knudtson.
