In William Robert Carey's ANGELS IN STARDUST, teenager Vallie Sue (AJ Michalka) seeks independence and an escape from the poor community where she lives. She often turns to help from an imaginary friend named cowboy (Billy Burke), who helps her deal with her less-than-stellar mother (Alicia Silverstone).
