Rating: 3/4 -- If you haven't seen a Weerasethakul film yet, here's a good opportunity, but leave your expectations at the door. There's no one like him. Full Review

[Notable] for the way it implies a distinction between the usual intrusions of otherworldly activity -- the spectral guests everyone on screen seems to take in stride, like a visit from the mailman -- and the hallucinatory visions that can’t necessarily be trusted.

Rating: 5/5 -- Given the cultural boundaries, there is much in the film that we may never fully grasp, but the less we're told, the more were sucked in by the film's hypnotic, ever-expanding aura of mystery. Full Review

There's a boundless imagination to the film, and through its hypnotic visuals (a sequence with a group of lights can easily function as its own brilliant installation piece) it's easy to get swept up by its beauty. Full Review

[T]he best thing I can say about it is that it renewed my sense of the life force both within and surrounding me, motivating me from a within that's outside of me, as it were. Full Review

Rating: 4/5 -- Weerasethakul's perpetual insistence on the stillness and purity of the pictorial and aural elements of his framing once again almost becomes the story. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- An interesting, well-established world and its characters are frustratingly under-served by the placid direction and drab framing. Full Review
