Rating: 7.5/10 -- Unflinching in its portrayal, Churchill opts for drama ahead of accuracy but still provides interest and offers an altered insight into the legendary leader. Full Review
What I Watched Tonight
Dec 21, 2018
Rating: 5/5 -- This approach has the capacity to make its subject appear a repellant and even pathetic figure, but for avoiding that fate we can largely thank Cox for a magisterial and empathetic performance that gets under the leader's skin. Full Review
Limelight
Dec 27, 2017
Rating: 2/5 -- As this drama begins... the British prime minister is silhouetted on the horizon, a hunched, rotund figure, with his black Homburg, overcoat and cane, giving perhaps the first sign that this film will take the iconic and turn it into cliché. Full Review

Jun 15, 2017
Rating: 7/10 -- The reason to see it is Brian Cox, who gained a substantial amount of weight and leans full bore into the role. Cox roars and blusters. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- Watch for Brian Cox's extraordinary and powerful portrayal of Winston. Arrogant and egotistical, he arouses both exasperation and sympathy - something that could also be said for the film itself. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- A fascinating look at a compressed but crucial few days in Britain's history. It's a painstakingly directed and well-acted historical biopic. Full Review

Product Description:

Writer-director Dom Frank's supernatural horror film features a ghostly revolt against attempts to tear down a longstanding Baptist church to make way for the gentrification of a dilapidated Philadelphia neighbourhood.
