Filmmaker Bob Christie takes his cameras around the globe to document the struggle for gay equality in places where coming out of the closet can get you thrown into a cell. In places like San Francisco and Sao Paolo, gay pride marches take on a celebratory atmosphere. When a gay pride parade in Eastern Europe is shut down by authorities, however, the organizers are forced to get creative in order to spread their message. Conversations with Vancouver Pride Society President Ken Coolen offer an illuminating perspective on the progress that's being made, and the long fight ahead.
