A young law student (Tye Sheridan) suspects that his stepfather (Stephen Moyer) was responsible for a horrific car accident that left his mother in a coma, and he drunkenly asks a low-rent crook (Emory Cohen) for help plotting revenge. When said crook and a stripper companion (Bel Powley) show up at his doorstep the next morning, the story splits into multiple timelines that explore the various ways this scheme could play out.
