Product Description:
Jewish man Georg (Franz Rogowski) escapes imprisonment by present-day Nazis and flees to Paris and then Marseille. In a desperate move to get out of the country, he assumes the identity of an author named Weidel, who recently committed suicide and has a Mexican visa. His plans to leave by ship in three weeks are complicated when he meets Weidel's estranged wife, Marie (Paula Beer). As Georg falls in love with Marie, he tries to find a way to take her with him without her realizing his deceit. Directed by Christian Petzold. Based on the novel of the same name by Anna Seghers.
