Though the narrative tends to be a touch too simplistic for most grown-ups, and lacks enough riotous dog action for the little ones, there's enough bite to make things worthwhile for those who just want to enjoy a sweet, wholesome dog movie. Full Review

Director Mandie Fletcher and her fellow screenwriters Vanessa Davies and Paul de Vos set up PATRICK like a romantic comedy, with Patrick slowly winning Sarah over.

Rating: 1/5 -- There is no actual story, and no hint at psychological realism. Just a jaded sense that viewers will watch any old rubbish with a comedy dog, and a belated attempt at third-act drama. Full Review

Rating: 2/10 -- I was severely disappointed with this film. It might've actually killed off the last few remaining cells of joy I had in my heart for cute dog flicks. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- It's a film jam-packed with very good actors and big names, and suffused with a puppyish willingness to please. But where is the bite? Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- The film and the eponymous pug who plays him, are sly charmers who take a fairly predictable plot and make it a cozy experience well worth the investment of your time. Full Review

A film has to have something going for it, like a plot, instead of just relying on an adorable animal. Full Review

Product Description:

When her grandmother dies, struggling 20-something Sarah (Beattie Edmondson) inherits her spoiled pet pug, Patrick. Taking care of a destructive, headstrong dog proves to be a handful for her as she's busy starting a new job as a teacher and jumping back in the dating scene after being dumped. But despite all the trouble he causes, Patrick helps Sarah meet two potential suitors (Tom Bennett and Ed Skrein), connect with her students and more. Directed by Mandie Fletcher.
