Product Description:
Live archive release from the New Orleans R&B legend. The Chicago Blues Festival began in 1984. Allen Toussaint headlined on the Sunday night of the 1989 festival. While not strictly blues, Toussaint is considered to be the chief architect of 60s New Orleans R&B. As a producer, songwriter, arranger, and solo artist, he wore all these hats over the course of his lengthy and prolific career. His behind the scenes work alone would've been enough to make him a true legend. He has worked with Elvis Costello, Little Feat, Paul Simon, Doctor John, amongst many others.
