King Curtis Give a Twist Party [Bonus Tracks]

This special LP release presents The Shirelles' third album, Give a Twist Party, which also includes King Curtis as a featured artist. It was originally issued by Scepter in 1962. Unlike other Shirelles LPs of the period, which were assembled from material recorded over months of sessions, Give a Twist Party was conceived and recorded as a concept album. The sessions were cut during May 1962. At the time Curtis was riding the Hot 100 with the instrumental smash Soul Twist (which he had cut for Bobby Robinson's Enjoy label in November 1961).
