Stan Seltzer was a popular West Coast piano player who led a series of trios during the 1950's and early 1960's. He had a beautiful, understated approach to the keyboard, never flowery or over sentimental. This rare recording from 1957 showcases Seltzer's obvious talent and he is joined by jazz veteran Red Mitchell on bass and Frank Hudec on drums, performing a sophisticated assortment of jazz standards including "Have You Met Miss Jones" and "Prelude To A Kiss". All selections newly remastered.
