Andre Nickatina is an independent West Coast talent whose lo-fi beats and old-school rhymes have been hitting the streets over the past 15 years without the aid of a major label. Hailing from San Francisco, Nickatina has released over 11 records on his self-started label Fillmoe Coleman Records, as well as a short film, and the documentary THE GIFT. Presenting a hard-hitting portrait of the Bay Area rap industry, the film is a candid glimpse of the behind-the-scenes scene that audiences aren't normally allowed to see. The film features appearances by Suga Free, Mac Dre, Brotha Lynch Hung, Mac Mall, Goldee, Equipto, and many other rap artists. The soundtrack is comprised of Nickatina's own work, including such tracks as "Lost Hawks," "Straight P.I.," "Cupcakes & Cookies," and "Caddy Steering Wheel."
