"JEANNE MOREAU, FILMMAKER" is a comprehensive 2-disc Blu-ray set showcasing the lesser-known directorial works of the legendary actress Jeanne Moreau. The collection features new restorations of three of Moreau's films: "LUMIÈRE" (1976), "THE ADOLESCENT" (1979), and the documentary "LILLIAN GISH" (1984).

"LUMIÈRE" delves into the lives of four actress friends—Sarah, Laura, Julienne, and Caroline—as they navigate their emotional and professional journeys. Through their intense experiences and various challenges, the film explores themes of womanhood and the acting profession, with a focus on the central figure of Sarah, the group's eldest and most renowned member.

In "THE ADOLESCENT," set on July 14th, 1939, young Marie celebrates her 12th birthday and embarks on her annual holiday to her grandmother's house in central France. Amidst the joy of reuniting with loved ones and the innocence of childhood, Marie also encounters new emotions upon meeting the village's new doctor. As she transitions from childhood to adolescence, the specter of war looms over her idyllic summer.

"LILLIAN GISH" is a tribute documentary in which Moreau pays homage to the iconic American silent film star, Lillian Gish. Through interviews and archival footage, Gish reflects on her illustrious career spanning decades, from her early days in Hollywood to her enduring passion for cinema. The documentary provides insight into Gish's groundbreaking roles and her impact on the film industry.

The special features of the Blu-ray set include 4K restorations of "LUMIÈRE" and "THE ADOLESCENT," conducted by the Fondation Jeanne Moreau in collaboration with Jean-Claude Moireau. Additionally, the collection features an HD restoration of "LILLIAN GISH," offering viewers an opportunity to experience Moreau's directorial vision and the cinematic legacy of these remarkable films.
