Avoiding political polemics and concentrating on the human scale of the tragedy, this engrossing documentary focuses on the story of Eusebio de Haro who, one day in May of 2003, was shot and killed after crossing into Texas from Mexico. This fair-handed documentary examines the death of de Haro from multiple viewpoints--from de Haro's family and citizens in border states, to anti-migrant militias in Arizona--offering a needed perspective on the individual realities that make up the controversies surrounding the U.S.-Mexican border.
