Product Description:

One of the most fascinating and intriguing periods in music legend Bob Dylan's career was the twelve-year span of 1966-1978, which began with Dylan's severe motorcycle accident and witnessed such seminal events as his recording of the BASEMENT TAPES at Big Pink with Robbie Robertson and The Band; his appearance at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival; and the creation and recording of such albums as JOHN WESLEY HARDING, NASHVILLE SKYLINE, SELF PORTRAIT and BLOOD ON THE TRACKS - in other words, everything that led up to Dylan's conversion to Christianity in 1978. This documentary program explores the '66-'78 period with a mix of archival performance footage featuring Dylan, and commentary by music archivists and historians including Patrick Humphreys, Derek Barker and Nigel Williamson. Musical collaborators such as Bruce Langhorne and Rob Stoner also turn up with reminiscences of working with Dylan during the said period.
