Director Mairi Cameron brings Stephen Lance's script to life in The Second - the tale of a successful author's attempt to duplicate the success of her first novel. The Writer (Rachael Blake) and her husband The Publisher (Vince Colosimo) take a trip back to her childhood home in order to inspire her. There, she encounters The Muse (Susie Porter), the source of her inspiration in the first novel. While there, The Muse reveals the secret behind the inspiration. This opens a past that intertwines with the present that affects the three.
