The Band Three Decades Live on Air

The summer of 1976 saw The Band come to end after more than 15 years together, with a performance at the 4000-seat Carter Barron Amphitheater which saw them on terrific form as they played a cross section of their remarkable back catalogue, before their final performance at the legendary Last Waltz . Seven years on, Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson and Richard Manuel reunited, performing in the US and Canada, tearing through a selection of classics as well as the new track, Java Blues. Following the death of Richard Manuel in 1986, The Band triumphantly returned in late 1993 with their reunion album Jericho, touring widely, augmented by new members who beautiful reproduced their classic sound. This 3CD BOx set captures the Band live in 1976,1983 and 1994.
