Doug Van Beck Trio A Workin' Man's Day Is Never Done / Surfin' Little Girl (Digital 45)

Made up of three army buddies who met during their military service in France, vocal group Doug Van Beck Trio consisted of Doug Morris, Richard Vanderbilt and William Beck. After an appearance on French TV, they got a contract with the French based Festival label as the G.I.'s. When they returned to the United States after their military service, they recorded two singles as Doug Van Beck Trio. Doug Morris later went on to become a prominent record producer and wrote “Sweet Talkin' Guy" for The Chiffons. Presented here is the Doug Van Beck Trio's classic 1964 single, “A Workin' Man's Day Is Never Done” b/w “Surfin' Little Girl,” newly remastered from the original 45 rpm vinyl mixes.
