Biography
The late Kurt Cobain of Nirvana described the US rock band the Melvins as his favourite group. Unsurprising, perhaps, as they are the only other band of note to originate from his home town of Aberdeen in the USA (though they have since relocated to San Francisco), and he did once roadie for them. Drummer Dale Crover also played with Nirvana for a spell, while Cobain guested on and co-produced 1993’s major label debut, Houdini, for the band. Read more
