Product Description:
Recorded in 1956 for the Concert Disc label, Sound In The Round is a unique sound demonstration record with spoken interludes which became a precursor to the sound effects records that gained wide popularity in the 1960's. The record was produced and recorded by James C. Cunningham and Robert Oakes Jordan. The narrator is Tom Mercein who was a very popular Chicago disc jockey in the 1950's known for his soothing voice. All selections newly remastered.
