A trumpet player for bands led by Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman, Tutti Camarata became known for his arranging skills. In addition to orchestrating numerous big band hits for Jimmy Dorsey, including "Green Eyes" and Tangerine," Camarata orchestrated and/or produced historic recordings by Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, and Duke Ellington. Tutti's classic 1959 album is a tribute to the great songwriter Peter DeRose and indeed features a program of all DeRose material. Tutti and his orchestra are joined by guest vocalists Ralph Young, Dolly Dawn and Ernie Warren. All selections newly remastered.
