Product Description:

An extremely gifted vocalist with a clear soprano voice, Judy Mayhan became a fixture of the Greenwich Village folk scene of the early 1960's. Discovered by the iconic folk singer Dave Van Ronk who helped get Judy her first gigs, Mayhan quickly became a scene favorite and was considered by many to be the best female folk vocalist of them all. Her debut album, "Folk Songs of Old Eire," was recorded in 1962 and remains one of the best albums to emerge from the folk era. Judy accompanies herself on mountain dulcimer and is joined by guitarist Jake Ander to produce a dramatic projection which always transcends the meaning of each song's lyric's. a true folk classic. All selections have been newly remastered. [Note: This product is an authorized CD-R and is manufactured on demand]
