As the world celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 2006, Sony Classical is ringing in the milestone year with the release of Mozart 250: A Celebration, a multifaceted collection of the composer's music that offers an unparalleled introduction to his genius, all for the price of a single full-priced CD. Included are a two-disc set of highlights from Mozart's masterpieces--including orchestral, chamber, instrumental, operatic and choral works--as well as a special bonus disc entitled Serene and Sublime--The Great Mozart Adagios, featuring the composer's music at its most beautiful and seductive.
