Director Louis Leterrier's remake of the campy 1981 film Clash of the Titans pays homage to its predecessor in that you have to mock both films in order to keep them interesting.

As is the current trend, it seems, this was filmed in 2-D but released in 3-D at cinemas, a bad decision as the reformatting looked, quite frankly, rubbish. It's much better to watch this in good old 2-D at home, while it's nothing special...

It's destined to be a mega-blockbuster, and it deserves every dollar it earns. Warner Brothers has done exactly what should be done with a reimagining: take everything that was good about the so-so original, and make it bigger and better.

I never was a huge fan of the original, but I'll admit it had a mildly cheesy charm. The same can't be said for this remake, which is just a loud, silly bore.

Product Description:
In Clash of the Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, Perseus and his warriors will only survive if Perseus accepts his power as a god, defies fate and creates his own destiny.
