Kaada/Patton is a side project for two prolific musicians, Norwegian soundtrack composer Mike Kaada and former Faith No More frontman Mike Patton. Their band draws on a joint love of film music, with Patton building on his experiences with his band Fantômas, who paid an inimitable tribute to horror film scores with their DIRECTOR'S CUT album. But Kaada/Patton is a sedate affair compared to Patton's noisier excursions, and this 2005 performance finds them delivering some gently crafted melodies at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark. Additional rehearsal footage provides a fascinating glimpse at the working methods of these two unique musicians.
