The Beau Brummels Continuum

The Beau Brummels were formed in 1964. They were being produced by Sylvester Stewart whose nom de plum became Sly Stone. With the release of "Laugh, Laugh" and the B side, "Still in Love with You Baby," The Beau Brummels carried the moniker of America's answer to the Beatles. In 1965, the Brummels' first album,' Introducing The Beau Brummels' was released. They had a top ten single, "Just a Little" in that same year. At the First Annual Pop Music Awards (later renamed the Grammy Awards) The Beau Brummels won the award for "Best New Vocal Group". In 2011 Ron Elliott, song writer, guitarist and the who put together The Beau Brummels was approached by Producer Lou Dorren about a new Brummels CD. Elliott pulled together a large quantity of songs and chose 15 of them for the CD The Beau Brummels band members included Ron Elliott, Ron Meagher, Declan Mulligan, John Petersen and Sal Valentino. Unfortunately, John Petersen passed away in 2008. Dorren still wanted to have all of The Beau Brummels on this CD. After obtaining 3 Drum tracks that Petersen had recorded in 1965, Elliott and Dorren together chose one of the tracks that Petersen had done and Elliott wrote a song to go along with this track. That song is the lead song of the new Continuum CD and is titled "She Is." This performance has all of the original Beau Brummels performing. Included with the CD is a 36 page booklet. In the booklet are many great photos from the 60s to now as well as The Beau Brummels history. All the songs lyrics are also included in this booklet. Great music and fun reading!!
