The Jazz Master Class Series From NYU: Hank Jones

Captured live at the Center for Jewish History in New York City, this December 12, 2004, master class by jazz legend Hank Jones begins as Jones performs for a group of appreciative music students, and follows along as he offers constructive feedback to his audience. By allowing the students the opportunity to perform for him and then commenting on how they might improve their playing skills, Jones passes along his vast musical knowledge to a new generation of aspiring musicians. Later, the students contrast the expectations they walked in with against their thoughts of how the class went.
