Grady Lee Jr. (Clayne Crawford) is a socially recluse farmer and genius inventor, sustaining himself through produce that he grows on his farm. When he discovers his late father's journal describing plans of a revolutionary device that can harness energy and change the world, he becomes obsessed with building it - all while becoming the unexpected guardian to his late sister's 6-year old son, Kai (Colt Crawford), a gifted kid in his own right.
