Michael's television scores have won numerous awards, including three Academy Awards (The Johnston Flood, A Time For Justice, and King Gimp), an Emmy Award for The Kennedys, an ACE Award nomination for The Man Who Loved Sharks, and both the Television Music Award and the Chicago International Film Festival Gold Plaque Award for LBJ. Other television scores include The Century, Abraham and Mary Lincoln: A House Divided, and Napoleon, and he was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for composing the music to Young Freud. The No Food Jokes Tour has included sold-out concerts in such major cites as New York, LA, San Francisco, Chicago and Nashville.
