Product Description:
Anthrax had been around six years before their breakthrough came. Although they made up one of the 'Big Four' bands commonly credited with pioneering and the popularising Thrash and Speed metal, they waited a little longer than their contemporaries before making their definitive statement. That statement came in 1987 with 'Among The Living', still often elected by hard-core fans as the band's best album. This live performance, broadcast from Dallas, Texas by Z Rocks in the summer of 1987 captures the band at their peak. Coming only a few months after the release of 'Among The Living' it provides a fascinating insight into the development of the band up to that point, with material from 'Fistful of Metal' and 'Spreading the Disease' set alongside the 'Among The Living' tracks. It's also a thrilling document of the band touring as they breakthrough, with all the white-hot energy that comes with being of one of the most popular and significant metal acts of the moment.
