In 1970, a plane carrying Marshall University's Thundering Herd football team crashed in West Virginia, killing everyone aboard. This ESPN special tells the story of the tragedy through those who lived in its aftermath, including relatives of the dead, and coaches and players who weren't on the plane. They discuss the community's grief and gradual healing, as well as the Thundering Herd's amazing resurgence to become one of the top-winning teams of the 1990s.
