After Carlos Barbosa-Lima s longtime relationship with Concord Records ended, he began working with the ZOHO label. Few people were aware of Carlos early LP releases on the Brazil-based Chantecler label, the first of which was recorded when he was just 13 years old (Dez Dedos Magicos, 1958). Presented here along with Carlos second recording O Menino e o Violão (1959), we see a display of astonishing technical brilliance and an artistic maturity way beyond his years. These early LPs have been out of print for several decades, rare and highly sought-after by vintage guitar music collectors. None were ever previously released on CD!
