Hi-Life is an African music genre that originates from Ghana. It takes it's roots from Western Jazz as a result of past colonial music influence in Ghana. Hence with the combination of Ghana's own local and traditional cultural music and Jazz, Hi-Life was created. Despite the dialectical lyrical contents, Hi-Life demonstrates a music tapestry that provides easy and pleasant listening accessibility world wide. Unique in her musical projection, Ghanaian Hi-Life music has also influenced and generated very wide African audience.
