Product Description:
There are only one or two known photographs of the man. He recorded barely 29 songs between November 1936 and June the following year (although it is believed there is one additional recording that has remained unlocated ever since) and only one of these, 'Terraplane Blues', sold in quantity, with the result that his family and close friends remained unaware of his recording output until decades later. And yet, Robert Johnson remains the most important blues performer of the last century and an influence on everyone from Muddy Waters to Eric Clapton, with even the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones covering his songs.
