Ensemble is made up of the finest trombone players in the Washington DC
area. The group s goal is to become the country s only large professional
trombone ensemble. The WTE is striving to build a repertoire of new music
and arrangements written for the group that will allow them to take full
advantage of the many voices in their unique ensemble. This recording
features the bass trombone concerto the WTE co-commissioned with Matthew
Guilford and premiered at the Eastern Trombone Workshop in 2010.
