Berlin, Breaks it down to all things relevant and gives you the plots and actors bio's. Plus other films they did. The supporting cast is what makes the films as good as they are, and keep the story moving. This is a good companion book to go with, Charlie Chan at the Movies, and the Cases of the Oriental Sleuths.
These three books are great to cross reference with each other, what one author misses the other adds too. I got all three and pick them up and check out a certain plot line and one or another of the books will give me a fact I missed on the first reading. Buy all three.
