Robert Pollard The Devil Went Home and Puked

Robert Pollard has been one of the most acclaimed and prolific figures in American indie rock since 1992, when his band Guided by Voices released their homemade album PROPELLER and unexpectedly caught the attention of a handful of influential rock critics. Since then, Pollard has played a steady stream of concerts and released literally dozens of albums, with Guided by Voices as well as several side projects and later as a solo artist. THE DEVIL WENT HOME AND PUKED: ROBERT POLLARD'S ROCK SHOW is a "video collage" assembled from Pollard's archives that features lots of little-seen footage of him on-stage with his various bands as well as rare music videos, television appearances, recording sessions, comedy material, and found footage. Primarily shot by fans and friends, THE DEVIL WENT HOME AND PUKED offers a look into the many facets of Pollard's musical personality, as well featuring a sampling of his visual art; it includes music by Guided by Voices, Circus Devils, Boston Spaceships, the Keene Brothers, Svelt, and more.
