Refn's visual strategy reinforces both physical claustrophobia and mental closure....Not since A CLOCKWORK ORANGE has the aura of brutality been accompanied by such shrewd musical selections...

3 stars out of 5 -- BRONSON is a stridently static film with an amazingly fluid performance at its center.

It's actually quite an intuitive work, taking Bronson's publicity-courting profile as a base to conjure a lurid opera on the phenomenon of 'Bronson'.

Product Description:
This drama tells the real-life story of the infamous British prisoner Charles Bronson (not to be confused with the American actor of the same name). Though Bronson was initially sentenced to seven years for burglary, his bad behavior--including attacking violently, taking hostages, and staging protests from the roof--has had him imprisoned for more than three decades, most of it in solitary confinement.
