A couple of deputies, carrying two convicts, pick up a professor, his granddaughter, and assistant, who have crashed their van when an alien nearly collides with them. Seeking shelter in a nearby cave for the night, they soon discover that within the cave are aliens harvesting their captured humans, embodying them in cocoons.
