Trumpeter Chet Baker embodied the West Coast school of cool jazz. Not only was he good enough to play with Charlie Parker, Stan Getz and Gerry Mulligan, his good looks landed him a number of film roles. His penchant for singing standards was well received. Unfortunately, his chemical intake forced him into a mostly expatriate life with many poor career choices attached. My Foolish Heart, recorded in 1985, features the title track, Girl Talk, My Funny Valentine and others.
