Description by OLDIES.com:
Maurice Chevalier and Jeanette MacDonald sing and fall in love to the songs of Rodgers and Hart in director Rouben Mamoulian's Love Me Tonight, one of the greatest screen musicals in history. Cheated out of 15 suits by the deadbeat Viscount de Var?ze (Charlie Ruggles), poor Parisian couturier Maurice Courtelin (Chevalier) heads to the Chateau d'Artelines to collect the money that he's owed. Introduced as a Baron to hide the truth from de Var?ze's uncle (C. Aubrey Smith), Maurice woos the smitten Jeanette (MacDonald), a haughty princess who is unaware the noble she has fallen for is just a common tailor. The musical that introduced the standards "Lover," "Mimi" and "Isn't It Romantic," Love Me Tonight is a dazzling blend of image and song that still delights today.
