The Sunshine Boys is an extremely sensitive and lovable film version of Neil Simon's play, with Walter Matthau and George Burns outstanding in their starring roles as a pair of long-hostile vaudeville partners. Full Review

Walter Matthau y George Burn reach that tragic emotion where the passage of time indicates the irreversible decline of things. [Full Review in Spanish] Full Review

Rating: B -- It's generally an appealing and witty film because the leads are outstanding as cranks. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- Great chemistry between the two great comic leads and some pretty decent one-liners but this doesn't manage to hold together as a feature-length concept. Full Review

Description by

Walter Matthau and George Burns star in this outstanding Neil Simon comedy about a long-since-broken-up vaudeville comedy team named Lewis & Clark who are persuaded to reteam for a television special. However, these two cantankerous curmudgeons can't stand each other anymore, and their mutual crankiness produces both hilarious and heartwarming moments.
