I wasn't familiar with Walter Jackson. This site's review states, "The other seven songs are an unappealing mix of standards." I couldn't have said it better myself. Still, I like to experiment. I only listened to one song all the way through…and that was the first track on the disc.
I am a great fan of R&B, Soul, Funk, etc. Little did I know that Jackson barely touches the edge of anything like that – at least not on this collection of songs. He’s an “easy listening” singer of safe songs. In my days working in the record shops, I would have put him in the same bin with Perry Como and Andy Williams.
