TOMATOMETER
British writer-director Harry Macqueen pitches it just right in his delicately heart-crushing sophomore feature SUPERNOVA, thanks in no small part to the ideally matched star duo of Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci...
Variety
Macqueen approaches the messy reality of letting go with measured sorrow, unrestrained tenderness, and even moments of joy.
A.V. Club
Firth and the London-based Tucci have been friends for years, notching up several shared screen credits already. Their easy chemistry is a strong selling point for Macqueen's second feature.
Hollywood Reporter
3 stars out of 4 -- [I]t's a testament to the performances given by the excellent actors Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci that we believe this final statement to our core....There's so much truth and compassion embedded in this entire production...
RogerEbert.com
[U]nassuming yet deeply affecting...with the superb duo of Stanley Tucci and Colin Firth clicking with such comfortable ease it takes all of about 30 seconds to believe these 60ish partners have been together for so long they can finish each other’s sentences...
Chicago Sun-Times
[I]t is beautifully modulated drama that is unforced and naturalistic, perfectly played by two actors working at the peak of their charm and powers.
Empire
As performers, Tucci and Firth embody the best kind of masculinity, which has been missing from popular culture for so long that we’ve forgotten what it looks like.

Product Description:
Written and directed by Harry Macqueen, this British drama is about lifelong gay partners Tusker (Stanley Tucci) and Sam (Colin Firth) who embark on a road trip to travel across places in England, eventually ending in the holiday destination of Lake District. The couple then visits their family and friends, eager to interact with their loved ones. The couple also updates them about Sam's condition—he was diagnosed with an early onset of dementia. They struggle to face the realities of this condition, as Tusker wants to let go of Sam, but Sam stubbornly sticks it out for love.
